50/50 split but the bright side is voter id is a winning and hugely popular issue
The Republican was never really favored there and this wasn’t a flip as it was to replace an incumbent dem so this wasn’t shocking.
The media was making out like Florida congressional seats were endangered and obviously they were not. The one dude should be given crappy committee assignments though for not really trying to campaign or raise money.
Watching the dems take a victory lap on retaining a judicial seat is kind of funny. It would have been a good win for republicans, but trying to win an off year election in a swing state when your opposition throws national resources behind it is tough.
Republicans can usually win a midterm election in Wisconsin (ie Johnson) or during presidential cycle but Madison controls the board for these off cycle deals. It’s a shame that there wasn’t enthusiasm to oppose her blatant campaign of gerrymandering but it is what it is.
1.2 million Less people voted in Wisconsin yesterday from 2024 general. Elon should have paid for busses to get those million people to voter booth instead of a cheese hat
Wisconsin is a wildly liberal state. They love socialist/marxist values. This shouldn't be a surprise for anyone.
You can't compare a general election to a special election. Voting on this election was up all across the state. It's just that some billionaires are better than others when it comes to funding campaigns and having 3/4s of donations come from out of state
