EXCERPT: There's this scorched-earth campaign going on. … Democrats are shredding many of the things they believe most fervently about. They're adopting anti-environmental positions, anti-labor positions just to get Musk. And it's really untoward, but also with the rise of political violence on the left, it's very concerning. It's very dangerous. And we're not seeing... what we were hoping to see from Democratic leadership denouncing this campaign.

They are actually successful in their animus campaign. He is now a villain to many and imo hurt the Wisconsin Supreme Court race. He's a drag on the gop

Wisconsin was never going to elect a conservative on their court regardless of Elon's evolvement. Wisconsin has been fighting against conservative causes for decades. It was a miracle scott walker got elected gov. there, but never got a thing done because of lawfare by the libs.

Not at all. Hate and violence is only exposing the left for what it is. America-hating communists.

They are on the wrong side of most everything and smart people are waking up.

Yet doge and musk favorability ratings keep falling. I guess none of those smart people were polled

If you don't think that all the negative attention and press isn't having an impact on day to day attitudes about Elon and doge of everyday citizens then you're not paying attention.

Do you think the overwhelming negative press coverage has anything to do with this or do you not read past the headlines either?

Virtually every headline and soundbite says Musk was trying to buy this election but when the dust finally settles I bet Crawford received the most financial support.

Here is a seemingly objective article that reports just how close the fundraising has been.

No shit that soros pritzker and insert dem billionaire donor name here. 77% of her donations came from out of state. Yes negative press plays a part but whether you want to believe it or just bury your head in the sand it is having an impact.

Of course the “negative” stories have an impact. And the rubes suck it up and believe it. The masses dictate their “own” thoughts on what the media tells them to believe.
Aka, “Trump has no shot at winning (re)election.”

Hmmm... Did I not just acknowledge it? Democrats have always played the long game via incrementalism. We didn't get here overnight and it's not going to be fixed in 90 days. The Republican strategy of compromise and capitulation that you seem to be promoting isn’t going to fix the problems but will make them worse.

What current GOP efforts are you specifically against?

The shoot first aim later haphazard way that they do everything. It's just lends itself to all the negative press and it's self inflicted

Your aim appears to be off as well since you missed answering the question with your response so I'll ask it again. What specific Trump positions do you disagree with?

Are you opposed to fair-trade tariffs as opposed to one-sided tariffs?

Are you opposed to tighter border security and deportation of criminals?

Are you against trade and tax policies that promote domestic production rather than rewarding offshore production?

policy wise I do t disagree with any of it. Execution is the issue, which would t be hard to figure out if you take a second and think critically after reading my posts. I agree with Hokies that a more balanced approach to tariffs would be better than a blanket across the board tariff plus reciprocals. I agree that just firing people for the sake of cuts isn't the best option, especially when you have to immediately rehire them because you had no clue what their job entailed just that they were last one hired

We should "aim" better. What pure bloviating bs. It's almost like you guys haven't been on this planet for the last 3 decades. By the time the govt "aims" we are in a reelection cycle when no one is in Washington DC to get anything done. It's the truest intention by the political class; delay, drag out, do nothing and in turn everyone is left to ponder why nothing gets done. EVER!

The whole aim better thing is picked up from a talking Head from one of the liberal news networks. Notice, he skipped over my post questioning this? He'll come out of the closet one of these days.

It’s preposterous on every level. Mindless emotional BS. Nero sitting back and watching Rome burn….but at least the media isn’t talking bad about them. (Accept the media will always talk bad about them).

We finally have someone in a position making the actual changes EVERYONE has claimed to have wanted and said was necessary over the decades….but now it’s “too fast”. You have to be fvcking kidding me. What a joke.

I encourage all the idiots making claims of “too fast”, “no planning”, “non experienced”, “Trumps a dictator” etc etc to go watch or listen to the recent All In Podcast and learn what these “inexperienced” (highly highly successful) DOGE volunteers are finding and attempting to eradicate. Listen closely to what the finance team working with Trump is attempting to accomplish in the extremely short period of time they have to accomplish their mandate and still come back here and attempt to speak with any kind of honesty.

We know they won’t, because it makes them look foolish. Makes them look lazy in their thinking and a real amateur in their experience and knowledge.
