Democrats Used Disinformation Campaign in Alabama Senate Race

Hummmm. Time to do something about election fraud/ interference???? Remember the trump committee that was effective.

Who would have ever thought to make that accusation if not for a certain candidate, you know, actually having this happen and benefiting from it. No collusion, of course.

And let's not be distracted from the fact that Roy Moore lost because he is a pedophile. Sixty-two percent of Alabamians (that sounds funny, is that right?) didn't give a hoot Ivan was helping Trump. That was fine and dandy with 'em. But 14 year old girls was a bridge too far.

Bottom line: the horse is out of the barn. Just assume anything you read online that isn't from one of the news outlets Trump calls FAKE NEWS is actually fake.

Of course it’s not ok. The politics are dirty on both sides. I’ve made it perfectly clear I didn’t vote for Hillary so I’m not invested in the outcome of either political party.

But I’m not so sure you are scoring any points here. The article states the fact that the Russians meddled in the 2016 election to favor Trump...

An internal report on the Alabama effort, obtained by The New York Times, says explicitly that it “experimented with many of the tactics now understood to have influenced the 2016 elections.”

Some will do whatever it takes to win,” said Dan Bayens, a Kentucky-based Republican consultant. “You’ve got Russia, which showed folks how to do it, you’ve got consultants willing to engage in this type of behavior and political leaders who apparently find it futile to stop it.”

So which premise are you going with?

*The Russians didn’t meddle.
*They meddled but with no effect.

If they didn’t meddle than this whole $100,000 dollars spent in a 51 million dollar race (from the article) was spent for nothing if it was to imitate a practice that never existed. If the Russians meddled with no effect than why would the money be spent to try to imitate it?

Again, it is deplorable for any political party to use these methods. The use of disinformation is straight out of the Orwellian playbook. But I’m interested in what side you stand on...do you believe that spreading disinformation as a political tool is a bad thing making it nearly impossible to defend our president, or do you believe it’s okay and by virtue of that approval tacitly justifying the democrats who do it also?

I don't see anyone claiming that (dherd does not count).
