Disgraceful & Unbelievable

What a disgraceful sentence. Pathetic snowflake sentence. Only obama would drag a traitors parents around.

What does this tell all the young Soldiers out there? Sends a terrible message.

He actually said he would take them into consideration during sentencing
Then that is that damn officers(judges fault). That is what happens when these ******* officers become political in the military instead of doing the f'ing job. Be a damn officer and do your job.

Berghdal was not facing a jury of his peers. He was in UCMJ military hearing. A politicians remarks before they were even a damn politician should have no bearing of a f'ing Colonel In the United States Army doing his f'ing job.

Liberal judges love ISIS,traitors, and Taliban.

Someone will get their hands on this traitor SOB and it will not be pretty. It would have been easier if only the Clintons sided with most Americans. They are experts at making people disappear.

then he's saying multiple things because he was quoted saying he wouldn't have any issues being impartial.

I think he received punishment plenty while in captivity. What a dumbass. Crazy, too.

Anyway, why should any of us really give a fvck? It's not like we can vote a military judge out of office. Typical Americans, we focus on the trivial instead of the real question: just WTF is our military and foreign policy doing in the first place?

soldiers who volunteer for service should ask that question and decide accordingly BEFORE signing the dotted line. Once signing their responsibility is to perform above the level of a typical American. He failed and others died directly due to his actions.

Because he deserted. Because men died looking for him and others were wounded and have life altering issues.

Like Trump said, they knew what they signed up for and did so anyway.

Seriously, this is the dumbest goddamn thing I have yet to hear from you Trumpers, seeing politics even in the fvxking sunrise. Zero politics here. You know what it actually is? Some smart people in the military have finally realized it wasn't so smart to take crazy loons, gang members, and half-retarded people just to feed the fresh meat grinder. So they've thrown this guy a bone...he's quite factually insane, he should never have been even a janitor in the military, much less manning a post in a war zone, and they are washing their hands of him. I know that is distasteful to you, but it is what it is. The fvxk you going to do about it? Hint: blackie is no longer in the White House. So nothing.

apply the murder-felony principal to berghdal. bastard deserted his post and as a result, several good men are now dead or crippled as a direct result of having to go search for him. for he and his piece of shit attorney to claim victim status while thanking decent men for receiving "heroically sustained injuries" is insulting

Actually, that's a defense lawyer doing his job.

So I'll ask you the question you quoted but did not answer: why should we really give a fvck? There's nothing any of you can do about it. I'm all for getting pissed off if you can vote against someone or something, but no one can on this.

do you have any family members in the military? i do. just because you can vote on something doesn't mean that's the only reason for outrage.

Then I am sure your family members can tell you this is a case of "tough shit". You want to be outraged? Be outraged that the Army took someone the Coast Guard kicked out for being crazy. Took him in 2008, right when the Army was flushing their standards down the shitter to meet recruiting demand for our very overstretched forces...overstretched because of a dumb war in Iraq that also dulled interest in enlistment. There's a lot more going on here than meets the eye, as I alluded to in the post #22.

yeah, they don't seem have that attitude. in fact, in a few group chats with mostly military and they also seem to be outraged. i can vote, and obama gave away five terrorists for this piece of shit, so i guess i get to be outraged

He still walked off, regardless.

It was a fair swap. That was five more drone targets.

Yes, you can vote. So I guess vote against Trump for this outrage?

Shit, who I am kidding. You will be right in line to vote for him again.

i didn't vote for trump (as God as my witness, i didnt) but nice try. wrong about who gets to be outraged and wrong in your assumption of who i voted for

Well then be outraged at something you can't change. I'll admit I am sympathetic to him, not because he walked off but because the Army set him up for failure by accepting him in the first place. And that's on the Army, and the politics that put the Army in that position. The "smart Army" is a thing, we can't be the biggest but we better be the best.

You wold be surprised the number of parents that make comments these days about their kids joining. Not a lot of glamour in being in the Army or Marines for a lot of folks these days. And, the "no way I would want my kid to do that" attitude. Ok for your kid, but not mine attitude.

Greed, the defender of traitors, pedofiles, and political criminals simply isn't right in the head.

It's been that way for a long time. The military dealt with the same public opinions after Vietnam. No surprise at all.

I would not have wanted my daughter in the military. It's not for her, she is a very kind, nurturing soul. Medicine will be a perfect fit for her. But she's a better shot than probably 75% of their recruits lol. If she had chosen that path I would have supported her choice. Today's parents have a hard time letting their kids make choices.
