Doc Holliday is gone. As is his entire staff except for Crapsey. This is 100% on Huff. These same DBs were not this bad last year. Players knew where to freaking line up. Ball security wasn't an issue.
It was time for a change, but don't anyone dare try to qualify Charles' ineptitude as head coach and coaching talent evaluator.
It’s not easy to turn the #4 rush defense into the #119 rush defense in one off season. Huff making things happen and making his mark.
And yes, we lost Hodge and Beckett who were very good players, but they arent 115 spots better type players. We don’t wrap up, don’t take proper angles, don’t keep gap responsibility, and generally show a complete lack of discipline. None of those problems existed last year.

Untrue. Doc beat MTSU. I mean 4-4 wasn't awesome, but he did beat them. Usually it was the home team winning, but still. Doc has enough shortcomings to not need us to create false statements to indict his career.
Doc was average to below average, but Huff is terrible.
McClain-Sapp did. Missing him more than Hodge IMO.
To be fair, the DBs have been bad for a long time.
The defense played much better in the 2nd half (surrendered no points). They still aren’t good but did improve some.
