As I understand, he's not signing with an agent. Similar to his actions last year. If he get's drafted, good for John. If not, he has not jeopardized his eligibility. Fairly prudent move on his part.

he does not get to see if he gets drafted.. he must withdraw his name before the draft to be eligible to return next year. this does allow him to do predraft workouts a d get further evaluations
