Environmentalism gets lumped in with Animal Rights when it really isn’t the same thing at all. I want to protect the environment because it’s the best thing to do for people. At the end of the day the earth is going to soldier on regardless of anything we do, it’s just going to be a lot shittier for us to live on it depending on what we do.

If we could get a cure for cancer by strangling every last red panda in captivity then I wouldn’t enjoy that but I enjoy watching people die of cancer way, way less.
