Unbelievable timing. The trial started a day before 9/11 and would have been above the fold news otherwise. It sounds callous to say but McDonald's probably saved millions in public image campaigns because of those gawd damned airplanes.

I just read this article. I cannot believe how dumb the people at McDonald's were. Dude's step-brother wins? Red flag. A fvcking mobster wins? Major red flag. Sure, it's a huge company and what's a few million...but still, bad PR is costly.
