We can't coddle these kids and make the "normal". Not everyone needs to be integrated into regular classes or a regular school
Damn shame no one got that kid help he needed. Whole ordeal is so sad and probably could have been less deadly with proper response and listening. Now it has just become another hate-filled political and network rating exercise.
The kid needed to be committed. He was going to hurt himself, or sadly others. There are many more like him walking the streets. Media giving these whackos a stage probably not helping.
Jake Tapper will be interviewing that sheriff on his show Saturday night I believe. Tapper's been shining the light on the failures of Broward Co Sheriff Dept the last 24 hours.

Jake is all over this because Trump wants armed security, whether it be teachers or whomever. CNN now beating the drum that even with cops present, that didn't help. In other words, it's all part of their no guns for anyone agenda.

Tapper was once a member of an organization against handguns, I can't remember the name of the group. He also toes the CNN line a lot. That being said he's one of the fairer journalists in MSM. If you read his twitter feed he's about to expose Broward Co Sheriffs Dept, and it won't be pretty. I just wish all this came out before the CNN townhall. It seemed, and I feel it was set up like, an anti-gun rally. I think a lot of people, who solely blamed the NRA, would have walked away more educated if all this was exposed prior to that townhall. Tapper is trying to correct that it seems, if he does that he has my respect.
I agree with some of what you said. I know most on here don't like Tapper because he's on CNN but I think he's one the most fair journalists out there. I most definitely wish this would have come out before the town hall. Then we might not have seen the NRA say this....
Armed security worked real well last week. What four deputies now hunkered down outside. All armed.
SO what is the solution? Unarmed security?
For fvck's sake. Can we live in reality for a moment and discuss this logically? How are we going to keep guns out of peoples' hands? How? We could ban all guns tomorrow and place a death sentence on anyone caught owning a firearm, and anyone wanting one bad enough could get their hands on a gun in 24 hours.
Americans aren't Aussies. No gun buy-back or ban is going to rid the country of guns. It's cultural here and a constitutional right to own firearms.
But forget that. Do you really believe we could rid the country of "assault weapons" if we banned them? You honestly think this deranged kid or the next lunatic looking for one couldn't get his hands on one if they were outlawed?
I believe in statistics and probability. When you reduce supply you reduce incidents. There will always be outliers but what is going on today is not outliers it’s the norm.

No it’s not the norm. School shootings in the sense that the average person describes them, a shooting with mass casualties, are exceedingly rare. Since 1990 there have been 22 such incidents. Now that is 22 to many but not the once a week occurrence the gun control crowd pushes.

Most of the time?---He sounds a poster child for Pelosi. He crossed the line and made this political. His job is to make sures laws are upheld not changed to his views. But, then again it is what progressives do. They try to shove their views onto everyone.

That sheriff wants to lecture us about guns and he has a department full of cowards. He can go fly a kite.
He is as liberal as Pelosi. He needs to stay in his lane and leave politics out of the investigation. But, as usual you give a liberal a stage to perform on. They will put on a shit-show.
