Was an okay game for an exhibition
Taylor was the best player on the floor and where the team goes will depend on him. Think he finished with 29
Kinsey did well of doing what he does best and driving the ball and scoring or getting to the line (most of his shot were within 12 feet, and that's good for him).
Obinna played like Obinna and helped on offense, defense and rebounding. He got in foul trouble in the second half.
Conner played well and looks the most ready freshman. He dropped a couple of threes and made plays on both ends, very smooth. He got in foul trouble the second half.
Micah struggled mightily the first half, second half he had a six minute stretch of 6 points, 2 blocks and 6 or 7 rebounds. He would benefit red shirting getting some weight on him. Think we will have ups and downs with him all year.
Curfman had a really bad and off night. He was 1-9 on threes and struggled on the defensive side of the ball (his mobility laterally, UC guards were just moving easily from him) and also with driving or movement during offensive possessions.
Fricks, he played quite a bit but he seems to disappear.... he might have had a couple of baskets.
We only played 8 guys most of the game (Kinsey, Taylor, Obinna, Micah, Curfman, Conner, Fricks, and Braun). Touissant and Marko saw time the last 2 minutes or so of the game.
Freshmen are skinny (even more so than the rest of the team) but Conner looks the most ready.
Defense seemed to struggle the first half with UC, the second half we pressed basically the whole half and UC struggled with it.
