Satriani is one of the best guitarists alive.
A few years ago, I spent an afternoon and night with Ronald and Ernie Isley. Ernie was friendly but very quiet, whereas Ronald would talk your ear off. However, Ernie's demeanor entirely changed when talking about Hendrix. Hendrix lived with the Isleys for a few years before he became famous. He was about ten years older than Ernie, but Ernie considered him his best friend and hero. He shared some good stories about what Hendrix was like during those years and the new person he became after going to England for just a short period.

He died worth 75,000 dollars. Sad story. Everybody liked Hendrix too. Beatles loved him.
