the wife wants some built-ins around the fire place. Any tips or tricks for making cabinet bases?

If it were a DIYer, I'd have someone like me order the parts pre-cut for you and you can put them together, stain or paint them, and be done with it. Solid wood frames and plywood box. I can't make them any better. Save money and get a great cabinet. And they are SIMPLE to assemble. If it interests you, you can have them my cost.
