What do you think of the press saying a recession is coming before the election. It's the first time I see the dems gett ing a little excited. Getting excited over a recession is bad. What do you think?

I predicted on Nov 10, 2016 (2 days after cheetos was elected) that a recession would occur within his 4 years. If it doesn't happen, it will be the first time since Teddy Roosevelt that a republican president hasn't had a recession in his first term. Conservatives like you should be ashamed of how you behave. You "patriots" have fully accepted a crotch grabbing, cheating, lying coward as your hero and the lot of you have enabled him rather than resisted his insanity and absolute mockery of this nation. Wow, that prediction would make you a real Nostradamus. Our last recession ended in 2009, that's 10 years ago. In the 243 year history of the United States we have never gone longer that 10 years without a recession. Way to go out on a limb you economic savant.
As a matter of fact, the last recession ended in June 2009 and we are currently in the longest economic expansion in the history of the country at 10 years and 2 months. Every day that passes only adds to that record. Trump has accomplished what no other President ever has, keeping alive an economic up cycle beyond 10 years.

Looks to me like it could be expected to have slower expansion out of the worst recession. Labor participation rate when trump took office was 62.9, it's now 63.0. Neither have had much real wage growth.
Unfortunately, republicans usually have to follow democrats in to the office so there are a lot of issues that need fixed. Democrats get the luxury of following republicans.
The stock market comparison is simply laughable. The stock market was completely in the tank, several thousand points off its all time highs, when Obama took office. Under Obama the market went up about 7,000 points over 8 years. When he left office the DJIA was only about 1,000 points higher than its previous all time high, so essentially the market had almost 10 years of virtually zero net growth.
The rise in the market under Trump in less than 3 years is over 6,000 points, just shy of Obama's 8 year total (and not having the luxury of starting in an extremely undervalued position, like Obama had).
The simple fact is that various combinations of Presidents have been able to generate periods of 7-10 years without a recession, but never more than 10 years. So yes, the economic moves by Trump has extended the recession free economy into previously uncharted territory. This period has exceeded even the post WWII boom with far less economic advantage due to demographics.
