Went in there at half time and they didn’t have the game on. I asked the bartender and she said we don’t have ESPN plus. I know the game was on stadium but that’s Bull $hit. Your employees are all wearing MU shirts, the people spending money are Marshall fans which you market to but your too fing cheap to pay for the services that would show the game. Bush League.

Thanks Karen for setting me straight. Probably a lot to ask for A Bar right beside the stadium to show the game.

If they weren’t showing the game that’s just piss poor planning on their part. Easy to hook up a fire stick and turn it on. Shame on them

Can’t put the game on during halftime, well, because it’s halftime and there’s no game being played 😂

Did you try the establishment next to Fat Patty's? I hear every home game is shown there and in much better quality than the screens at Fat Patty's.
I think that place is, “The Joan”. I hear the hot dogs are hit or miss though.

I don't understand wanting to watch a game at a bar that is next door to where the game is being played when plenty of good seats are available.

That said, if you are a sports bar, anywhere in this area, but certainly right on the MU campus, you should know what channel EVERY game is on and you should have at least a few smart TVs so you can show games from internet sources. The NFL has internet games, and will have a lot more when the new TV deal kicks in. Every college that could be considered local to this area, including the Spamies and the 6-0 and tied for first Kentucky Wildcats, have been on the internet already this year. Internet games are the future.

That place is shit. It’s gone way down hill. Anyone that would choose to eat there must not care what kind of crap they eat.

Agreed about the future of watching games... Amazon is already making it happen for the NFL in the next TV deal. Cable and open air broadcast are now like 8-tracks and cassettes with streaming being the way forward.

Streaming is also going to spell bad news for "premium" services like Sunday Ticket, etc... In the next 10 years or so, every game will be on some online outlet (even if it's also on traditional cable/satellite) IE the way ESPN is doing Monday Night Football this year -- Traditional broadcast on cable/dish, Manning Bros on one online feed, a second "bettors" feed through ESPN+, etc.

Amazon Prime Video

Buy Now: Marshall vs ODU(insert whoever), $9.99(or whatever price). Click and done.

You are not wrong... Then we can go from being mad about ticket price to being mad about streaming prices/video quality/etc.
this is why the game has to be an event. it has to be an experience. if not just prime video and pay and done. $20 bucks or whatever , put it on the big screen. have 20 friends over and have your own tailgate. No need to drive 200 miles one way to a game.
