Terrible situation all around. I get why he took the plea deal, too. However, had this actually went to trial in Alabama, I'm not sure a jury would have convicted him.

I don't know. It's probably the manly thing to say "yeah, I'd shoot him too", but honestly, that's a selfish move. Now he's not there to help his daughter through what she's dealing with. If someone ever killed my daughter or wife, that would be tougher. Problem there is if you go kill the guy you're not there for the one still alive and they're alone. If someone killed them both, I would hunt them down, kidnap them, and spend weeks slowly cutting them into small pieces.
