Can’t help but feel that Louisiana Tech would’ve beaten UAB (and probably us) had their key players not been suspended. Either way we squandered a great opportunity
Two championships in three years. That is what good coaching can do in this league because the teams are so poor.
They had a head scratching 5-7 last year, looks like they going to turn around and win it again.
But there are those that felt doc needed 2-3 years to recover from the 2016 debacle.
It doesn’t take that long to build a winning team in today’s college football. Especially not in this league .
And this is after finding out their coach is leaving tomorrow. For most teams that’s a death knell to their bowl/championship game. Yet Kiffin still had them up to dominate.

It’s a shame really. We could have easily gone to this game and apparently won it, at home. Would have been a huge season had we won the two lost conference games and shown some offense on the second half of the Boise game. Realistically though, we could have easily lost two or three that we squeaked out at the end. Don’t really know what to expect next year.
