FBI Messed Up Hardcore On Florida Shooter

There's got to be a paper trail on the thing. Either somebody got the tip and buried it, decided on their own that it wasn't worth sending up the ladder. OR somebody got it and lost it/missed it/forgot about it.

Either way, there needs to be some serious consequences. Job loss at a bare minimum.

Just a question, but legally what could they have done?
Local law enforcement could have investigated him for domestic violence charges which would have flagged him for gun purchased. Local law enforcement could have also investigated him for threats against the school and perhaps mental issues which would have initiated blocks on gun purchases. FBI could have investigated him for threats against a school in relationship to domestic terrorism prompting an immediate investigation and block on the federal gun purchase data base system.

Law enforcement from the local level, to the state level, and federal level appeared to drop the ball.

Local police were called to his residence 39 times since 2010. It was a complete system breakdown. He was investigated for cutting himself in an instagram post st one point. The system failed with tragic results

Exactly right.

THis goes back even further. Years ago this whack job would have been kicked out and sent to Pruntytown. Now they want to include everybody, including whacko nuts. You can look at him and tell he was a loony bird.

I'll offer a real system break down....the ability to purchase semi automatic rifles 3 years before you're old enough to purchase liquor.
Hey, you go to war 3 years prior as well. Invalid comparison. We let kids 5 years younger drive 2000 pound cars down the highway as well. Think about that.

When 18 year olds go to war, they've had extensive training in both guns and self discipline, and cars are not made for the purpose of killing. So yeah, my comparison is extremely valid. Your excuses on the other hand are not.

so let's say you could magically outlaw AR style rifles. What are you going to do when people shoot someone with a bolt action or a shot gun? Or a truck or whatever? That gun doesn't go kill people by itself. That is the flawed logic. The bigger issue is what has become of society that causes more of these events. Why are we not guarding our schools better? You are just acting on emotion.

These are the guns used by CHarles Witman at the University of Texas in 1966. He had received military training. Not of them are AR style. I guess the closest would be the M1. The Remington 700 is a bolt action hunting rifle with a big and more powerful round than the AR.

Remington 700 ADL (6mm)

If you can't see that guns are a big part of the problem, then you're blind in one eye and can't see with the other one.

SO have some balls and say you would outlaw them all. I might respect your opinion more.

There is a bigger problem in society than "guns". Damnation what law would have stopped this guy? Damnation this nut job mental basket case was know to local cops, social workers, school officials, and the damn FBI and it still happened.

Most likely somebody just too damn lazy to do their job.

If someone actually did file a complaint, you would think that person would be shouting it from the rooftops at this point. Right?

Strange.

No one uses critical thinking any more.

I’m calling BS.

How many times do I have to address the same thing to you before you start to understand what is said. I just got done telling you I don't care if you have mini guns under strict background checks, moron.

I just presented an answer to that also. If the shooter had to be 21 to purchase a semi automatic rifle, the same age required to purchase liquor, then he wouldn't have been able to legally acquire the weapon.

Irrelevant if he couldn't have acquired the weapon.
