In a scoreless deadlock with the Florida Gators in the 3rd Q. Won't last but OMG!

No worries - the SEC will issue an apology on Monday and discipline the official(s) that missed these calls ("our bad"). That will make this all ok - and FAU can put an asterisk by this "loss" that notes the make-up apology. o_O

After the Herd basketball game in Knoxville the other night its pretty obvious after today that when a vaunted SEC team is in "deep doo doo" against a lowly G5 type foe, its time for the "fix to be in". Boys in stripes know who signs their checks and I'm sure like everything else involving "big time" sports, the SEC pays their game officials a lot more than conferences like CUSA, MAC, etc.

How do you guys explain The Citadel beating South Carolina then?

Probably the same SEC officials that gave the Vols 28 free throws in the second half and held The Herd to only 4.
Evidently The Herd was playing tackle and The Vols were playing peek-a-boo.

I take it, dshoe, you did not watch the ot segment of the UF-FAU game. On at least THREE of the FAU passes, the Zebras could've (should've) called intereference on the Gators. Hell, on one play a Gator db grabbed an Owl receiver and then shoved him and the ball was easily catchable- - -at a minimum should have been defensive holding.

Obviously, the "higher ups" could NOT STOMACH the thought of an SEC championship game between the mighty TIDE vs. an offensively challenged FL team that was beaten by a 2 win FAU squad! I'm sure the SEC brass and their media mogul "partners" made sure the guys in stripes on the field knew what the situation was.

Would love to have read, or heard, FAU Coach Partridge's post game comments.

OK, dshoe, now give us the official power 5/media conglomerate response, straight outta Bristol!!!
