Absurd poll question. Its the 4th game as a HC .
Nearly a quarter of respondents are saying they are ready to burn all MU clothing!! Pathetic fan base we are…
If we hadn’t completely fallen apart against ECU,most people would have accepted the App result. It was a close game against the best team on our schedule (outside of UAB maybe).
However, the trend that we are seeing is very troublesome. This team has some really big problems and some of them have to do with coaching:
1. Secondary that cannot guard without PI (partly coaching)
2. Play calling on 3rd downs - low percentage long throws almost every time (coaching)
3. Defense that is tired and cannot tackle late in games (partly coaching because of the offense we run)
4. Unreliable kickers
5. Turnovers (though we didn’t have one last game so maybe we are getting that fixed)
I love Huff and believe he is the right guy. I do question some of his coaching hires. It’s his first year. Give him some time.

Growing pains. One thing I know for sure.....going into a tough environment against a good team, I would rather have Huff than doc...
And yet, only one poster posed this ridiculously stupid question just mere minutes after a loss. What was your justification in asking it? To get on your super fan soap box and tell everyone how pathetic they are? GTFOH with your “pathetic” poll
We literally had fans in the game thread proclaiming we were "getting blown out" and the "game is over" after the 1st offensive series. THE FIRST SERIES! We have fans claiming Doc 2.0 after last week, despite there being zero, resemblance between the 2. Sadly, this was probably a legitimate poll to offer up.
This is an absurd poll. Short of a Snyder like total meltdown, there is no basis for forming an opinion yet. We have beaten a HBCU I-AA and a service academy that looks like it will not win a game this year. We have lost to a G5 AAC team that looks to be in the bottom in that league, and G5 SBC team in its 8th year in I-A and which looks like it will contend in that league, made of teams that were I-AA within the last decade.
Now the league. Because of check cashing no-return or 1 for 2 games, the only undefeated team in the league is UTSA, which beat a bad Illinois team. The only other team with 2 losses both to G5 programs is Southern Mississippi, which means we, based on record alone, have to be considered at the bottom of the league right now. Next up is MTSU, which won 3 games last year and which we handled 42-12. It has already lost the only conference game played this year, to UTSA, and plays UNCC tomorrow. Much more will be learned from that.

No, it wasn’t legitimate at all. It was just a lame attempt for him to stir the pot and to call out fans on their inferior fandom compared to his self proclaimed superior fandom. You’re smarter than that.

Absolutely my fren' ! So far, 85.7% of respondents have NOT given up on da Herd (30/35). Pretty encouraging in this modern era of instant polling, on everything it seems.
We lived through decades of meltdowns from Pruett, Snides and the great recruiter. I can give a first year HC a pass in year one. If this becomes an every year deal as it did with Doc, then I’ll give up on him. Marshall football may not be for some fans.
How do we know what the poll says other than yourself who is probably making up the statistics.

You’re polling a fan board… a tiny sliver of Marshall fans, which is hardly representative of our total fan base… and only a small portion of those fans even responded… so those percentages are worthless. 6 people voting yes to an absurd question means less than nothing.

I wouldn’t say < nothing. In fact, anyone who responded “yes” can’t be considered more than a casual fan. Most on here are passionate, and where there is emotion, there is commitment ….
We gotta give Huff some time, it’s only fair. I was in meltdown mode like everyone else after the ECU game. They played well against Appy but we just have to keep grinding and let Huff figure it out. I still like him better than Turtle man.
