That headline is extremely misleading. Ford is NOT replacing foreign jobs with American jobs. It's also only 500 jobs...a drop in the bucket for those plants.
I am interested to see if people actually buy the Lincoln Aviator. Lincoln is putting out great product right now (their interiors will make you jizz in your pants), but people are still not snatching them up.

It's not a "downplay". It is just not a replacement of foreign jobs, as your headline implies. The NA market Explorer had never been made offshore.

Sounds to me like two things. Retooling exsisting plants and shifting from declining sales in Europe. Seems like a necessary investment. I’m pretty sure the administration has nothing to do with the investment.
