Forty years ago Marshall football was setting at four wins and five losses.

Marshall had not had a winning season since going 7-3 in 1964.

Marshall had to go on the road the last two games of the year against Illinois State and ETSU in 84 to finish with a winning record.

Two road wins from a 6-5 season

Now, here we are, forty years later. Needing two road wins to win the Sun Belt East.

One win down. One to go

On ESPNU, in prime time, the last week of the year.

One game, one win. It doesn’t get much bigger than this.

Their fellow sons of Marshall came through four decades ago.

Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Go Herd!!!!!!!!!!!

Was blessed to be in Johnson CIty with MANY family members for that great win. I've been at many great MU wins, but that one....the MU fans exiting the mini-dome, walking out..................there is little like it. It was like someone had lifted 1.5 decades of sorrow off our shoulders. I don't think a win tomorrow night will be in that category of wins, but it would potentially retrentch MU atop it's competitive world. Go Herd.
