2023
2024
2025
2026
2027
Note: Future schedules and opponents are tentative and subject to change.

Yep, depending on if things stay the same, we better hope a lot of those teams are having off years when we play them. Looking like an 0-4 start next year if a lot of things don't turn around. Pitt and Boise are just better than us, ECU's new coach has them already turning around, and we never play well in Athens.

Liberty is gonna be a beast in 2023. They've got so much money and such a willingness to spend it, I'm pretty sure they're going to be able to compete with P5's in terms of salary and signing bonuses errrr I mean "endorsements."

With the advent of letting boosters pay players, the landscape of college football will be completely unrecognizable within 2-3 years. Teams that were never relevant will become dominant, and teams that were outperforming their status (Boise) will be relegated back to the shallows they came from.

Leaving out any discussions about the idiotic pay-the-players idea (why do 95% of bad ideas come from California?) which I agree will kill college sports, and thus assuming that college sports will be about the same in the near future, this is as good a schedule as we have ever had.

In a year MU should play a P5, either in a H&H deal like Pitt or Virginia Tech, or a true elite program like Notre Dame; Ohio U or some other MACer if OU won't do a full series; a G5 step up or name game like Boise State or Navy, H&H; and a I-AA.

The dooms and glooms of the doom and gloom crew are noted, and ignored. Great job, MH.

I'm actually hoping Liberty University shuts down operations by 2023. And no, I'm not kidding.

That's pretty biased................

Uhh, yeah. It’s also biased to say Nazis are bad people, pedophiles need to be kept away from children, and Coach Stowers is a moron. But those biases don’t make the claims any less accurate or wrong.

If your organization is full of corruption and fights against equal rights for certain groups, two things Liberty is guilty of, then the bias tends to be justified.

What are you feelings about Notre Dame, BYU, Baylor, Boston College, Georgetown, TCU, Tulsa, or Xavier? How about Yeshiva orHebrew-Union? West Virginia Wesleyan, Alderson-Broaddus, or Davis & Elkins?

CUSA should B E G this rich school with a desire to play high level football, rich alumni spread out nationally, a desire to have a Notre Dame-like non-alumni following among its co-religionists, and great G5 facilities, to join up. They have 1000 times the "potential" of UNCC or any Texas-Branch Campus.

Then, on Sunday, they can go to their church and you yours, or you can sleep in, your choice, and we can all meet at Bob Evans afterwards.

I like Liberty U. Nice school with great facilities. They have good athletic programs and are constantly getting better. Definitely a school that's headed in the right direction. Up.

I'm disappointed. Took you over two hours to play the Notre Dame card.

Next year is a great schedule and so is 2023! Next year no FCS game, a P5 which is a home game! Plus one of the other G5 programs is a mini P5 in terms of respect if you beat them in Boise State and that’s at home too. Ohio and East Carolina are good other games with G5 opponents when you have Pitt and Boise as your headliners.

Same thing in 2023 Navy and Va Tech at home! Liberty and East Carolina the other games. Once again no FCS game a P5 and a very good tradition heavy G5 in Navy.

Other than those 2 years the schedule is Meh.
We have 2 more years where we play 0 P5s and one of those years we play a FCS.

Notre Dame obviously is huge but the rest of the year is a FCS a MAC school and Appy.

Honestly I would love to play 2 P5’s every year. In years we play 2 P5s I wouldn’t care if we played a FCS school in one of the other games. If we did that it wouldn’t bother me to load up on MAC or Sunbelt schools or even one FCS game per year.

I played no "Notre Dame card". The only card I played was labeled "Tolerance".

I could care less if the people at Liberty worship Mohamad, Satan, Roscoe the Wonder Goat, Algore, o a box of used condoms. It is none of my business.

What makes you think Liberty is going to be anything of merit in 4 years?
Money? Plenty of G5 and P5 have money and they aren't winning or even able to compete.

There's a reason for Liberty not having a conference, while I feel sports and religion should be separate, they are an example of why that wouldn't happen.

Potential has been a word that has effectively killed CUSA. UNCC and ODU have "potential" given their money, markets, and facilities and neither have set the conference on fire like we all thought they would.
I know people going to Liberty...and they are a very different breed of religion.
They're the types who won't let their kids watch Harry Potter because it contains witchcraft.

But not to same degree the boys in Ft. Worth exercised...Dickerson took a pay cut to play for the Rams!

SMU is about as close to downtown Dallas as you can get. Fort Worth is where TCU is, which is about 30 minutes west of Dallas.

What are you feelings about Notre Dame, BYU, Baylor, Boston College, Georgetown, TCU, Tulsa, or Xavier?

None of those schools have anything even remotely close to the bigotry against homosexuals that Liberty promotes. None of those schools, as far as has been publicized, has anything even remotely close to the corruption that has gone on at Liberty since the older bigot died and left the school to his son.

Hell, not only is Notre Dame extremely open about their acceptance of gays, but they provide benefits to same-sex couples.

Your attempt is a monumental failure.

I could care less

No. The saying is "couldn't care less." Think about it, Sammy - if you could care less about something, that means you actually care at least to some extent about the subject. If you couldn't care less, which is what you're trying to relay, that means you have an absence of any caring for it.

Nope. There are a couple of accepted spellings, and your attempt isn't one of them.

I could care less if the people at Liberty worship Mohamad, Satan, Roscoe the Wonder Goat, Algore, o a box of used condoms. It is none of my business.

I can't believe I have to dumb this down even to you, Sammy. This isn't an issue about people caring who or what a university's mission worships. As you listed, there are plenty of schools that worship the same god as Liberty, and people don't have a problem with it.

The difference is that those schools don't promote bigotry against certain groups of people like Liberty proactively does.

Shutting down a school because they agree with what the bible teaches about homosexuality. That's not bigotry. Some of You libs put gays above all Americans. Start helping getting the Indians off the reservation. No group ever treated worse. Of course in most tribes the Indians would make a gay man dress like a woman and perform duties of a woman. Libs also also care far more for gays in america than in Muslim countries. Feminist, I would rather live next to communist. That is the most ungodly bunch in America. Liberty University will get shut down sooner or later. Churches will get burnt to the ground. Preachers arrested for preaching against the lifestyle of gay folk. It's all in the bible. The church will become an enemy to the United States. The more libs elected the faster that will happen. The intelligence of the 20 to 30 is shameful. Oh they are educated but no walking around sense and the work ethic of bums

Seems like the non-believers have an agenda against only one particular University, and that one is Liberty. Could it be that Falwell supported Donald J. Trump that's guiding all of this hatred? ND keeps raising child molesting priests, but if their administration supported a socialist candidate for President, they would still get a pass by the atheist group. Some are going to hell for the way they shame the Lord, while defending the gays and sinners.

Don't we have a forum for this political/religious/ideological crap?

When it centers around a potential conference mate, it makes the discussion worthwhile for this board.

You can even avoid specifics about the topic - should Marshall want to be included with a school whose values are so far misaligned with the general public? When those values include fighting against equality for specific groups, it should be an easy answer.

Don't we have a forum for this political/religious/ideological crap?

Lets put it this way...

It began as a mentioning of Liberty in football and now has become a political and religious discussion.
Liberty would want everyone to know their politics and religious beliefs they take pride in that.
Ok, fair enough, but don't be shocked when it stands in the way of conference inclusion...especially when you go out of your way to make religion and politics an identity.

For the most part, I like MU's future out of conference games. Yes, Notre Dame is a money game but having games with Army, Navy, ECU, and VT are good match ups for MU. The exceptions to the upcoming schedules are the games against Liberty, Bowling Green and the FCS opponents.

I know it's harder to get games with many of the Power 5 schools now, especially those that have gone to 9 conferences games. However, there had to be better options out there than Liberty, BGSU, etc. I remember looking around and seeing schools like BC, Syracuse, K-State, SMU, Tulane, Toledo, Utah State, UNLV, Troy, etc.
