Maybe the one pertinent thing from this would be that perhaps Coach D. is at least thinking about staying around as MU's coach for 3-4 or more years. Offer to an 8th grader is nothing more than an act of flattery, and an expression of some interest. Nothing more. And any interest expressed by the player in the offering school is also not worth much.
