Its a win for WV obviously.. I heard the profits will be split between WVU and Marshall. Is that accurate? I would think some of it would go towards fighting opioids and education.

Up to the individual states but betting on college sports is certainly on the table and will be a reality soon.
I think it's a great idea. Considering the things in this country that are already legal, might as well take some of the proceeds and put them towards higher education. I'm still waiting on the programs that gives scholarships with the contingency that the first 5 years of career have to be in state.
so, in WV, the government has passed legislation making it illegal to buy a Tesla from West Virginia vendors, eliminated lemon laws, made it legal to carry a gun into a children's rec center, and soon legalized gambling. But if I catch a buzz & watch Star Wars in my own home, by myself, the government has the ability to take away my stuff and throw me in jail. Seems like the state govy is really looking out for me.
