If the current path comes to fruition there is no way a football game is going to be played in Columbia on Saturday night. It's just not possible to play football underneath potentially the strongest storm to hit the east coast since Hugo.
My guess is both ADs are giving this as much time as possible to make a decision, in order to see if the track changes again, but they will make a final call tomorrow sometime. If I were a betting man I would bet it gets cancelled.
Meaty urologist (that's how he pronounces it) Rob Fowler seems to think it's gonna be bad. At this point it's more a matter of resources. I would love to go to the game but it's gonna be a miserable nightmare if they play it. Didn't they just put brand new sod down after the concert?Sensationalist much? The storm would be a 1 at landfall if it shifts down to S.C., tropical storm status as it comes inland.
It probably will get cancelled now, but this storms gonna fade fast once it gets close to land

I saw absolutely nothing sensational in his post.
Just saw where Ohio at Virginia has been moved from Charlottesville to Vanderbilt's stadium in Nashville, TN... Interesting idea, wonder what the fans think of that (I imagine the crowd will be far smaller than at UVA). My dad is going to be in Nashville on business, I told him he might be able to get in free, or at least very very cheap.

Geez, it's almost like people are concerned bad things could happen and they're trying to stay informed.Geez everyone one this thread is now an expert meteorologist!
Think I heard it’s free admission with a canned food item.
If you make an error, do it on the side of safetyFlorence is going to be a giant dud and all these people who cancelled football games are going to wish they hadn't
Dud based on what? Even a “weak” hurricane can cause a ton of damage and bring a ton of rain causing flooding inlandFlorence is going to be a giant dud and all these people who cancelled football games are going to wish they hadn't

If the Herd is interested in making a game up, the most logical seem to be either heading to East Carolina or Central Florida on the 27th of October.
UCF would probably make the most sense, if the Herd felt they had a shot at making an access bowl.
To be the best, you have to beat the best.
