Gameday going to Boone next week

I'm hoping ESPN execs don't take the position afterwards of, well we already did a Sunbelt East team this year, maybe come to Huntington next year...

If we stay undefeated coming into the App St game, they damn well should bring GameDay to Huntington.

It’s still hard to forgive them for 11/14/20, doing Gameday from a golf tournament. But they are still welcome. It’s a new day for MU, again.

Let it go, dude. It was 2020, lots of stuff was going on.
But hopefully they take notice. I just hope our fanbase will be as active as Boone's, and not have so many complainers like ours do.

We were still considered dead to them back then for being in CUSA.

Sucks, but I get why they did it.

BS
This is why they chose Boone, NC. Our fans are full of too many complainers and Heaven forbid the students actually get like this, the wild excitement will scare the old, entitled people who hate the color black on uniforms, rap music, and energy:

Go re-read my post you dolt. I was referencing why they didn't come to Huntington on the anniversary of our crash, not next week.

Perhaps, since you're such a Supafan, you out there with a big green M painted on your beer gut will be all we need to represent the entire fanbase?

They went to a golf tournament instead of undefeated, No. 15 Marshall. I won’t let that go. It was the ultimate disrespect to our university.

But I will forgive them if they decide to come to Huntington

Well then they may just laugh in your face and not come.
"You won't let what happened in 2020 go?"
"Nope."
"Which part of 2020?"

I wish I were as lazy and unmotivated as you to have a beer gut.
ESPN had featured Rakeem Cato during GameDay Morgantown as well as SI having a full article on his life titled, "The Dark Horse Heisman Candidate" or something like it.
This whole, "because of CUSA" is blown out of proprortion. It did NOT help publicity, but it didn't put a blackout on anything MU accomplished. Not nearly enough for ESPN to not recognize when a team deserves it.

You just don't even get how stupid you come across with your arguments, do you? Rhetorical question, BTW.

CUSA did not contract with ESPN for viewing rights, and that's the whole crux of the matter. We're talking money, you knuckle-dragging mouth breather. That's why ESPN chose to ignore us on many counts, including the anniversary referenced earlier ITT. You just admitted unknowingly in your post that Cato showed up to GameDay in MORGANTOWN. They otherwise wouldn't have done the interview, and in case you don't know, Morgantown isn't exactly next door to Huntington.

Do you know for a fact ESPN chose to ignore MU in 2020? Oh wait, much like everything you post, is pure speculation. Do everyone a favor and shove your head back up your a**.
An interview with Cato made the ratings spike? Instead of, you know, calling him on the phone or some video conference call.
Also given that MU was getting attention by the rest of the media and would end up being voted in by a group of humans that were heavily covered by...let's see...everyone including ESPN.
MU was absolutely demolishing everyone, setting NCAA records, and generally having a presence even someone who wishes they weren't there, like ESPN, has to take notice.
But hey, people like you thrive living here, so if you aren't aware of how things in the real world happen, it's ok. Myself and the grown-ups will handle it.

Interesting upcoming tilt: While App deservedly celebrates Gameday in Boone this weekend, JMU has a perfectly timed bye week to get ready for their 1st ever SBC game, possibly vs a ranked conference mate on the 17th. It would be a mistake for App to regard those guys lightly……

We can't change the past fellas. However we can control our future. Take it 1 game at a time and win and don't lose until App game and we have a shot.
