Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal says trump is IMMORAL

We desire to get back to a time when America was great - a time when we had respect for the President....as well as respected/demanded law and order. Folks attained the American dream through sacrifice, dedication and hard work - not through gov't programs and handouts. In fact, asking for a gov't handout was the source of great shame - something the vast majority couldn't fathom. A time when values were learned and supported by attending church on Sunday - as well as the classroom during the week.

We want to get back to that era through a leader and means that are devoid of truth, integrity, honor.

We need more generals like Patton and perishing not kiss ass generals

Ans why the hell should we keep all these troops in Syria and elsewhere?

Wonder how Pershing and Patton would react to a Commander in Chief who lies like Trump? How would Patton respond to a President who conspired with Russians to attain the office of President?

Just recently, two honored, celebrated and decorated Marine Generals resigned rather than continue to carry-out this Commander in Chief's orders.

I don't agree with being the world's police force....but our troop exposure was low, and we've made a commitment to thousands of people. After all, they were the ones doing the most of the actual fighting and dying against a common enemy - ISIS.

Would you renege on those commitments? I'm guessing "no".

"BREAKING NEWS: President Barack Obama will keep 5,500 U.S. troops in Afghanistan when he leaves office in 2017, according to senior administration officials, casting aside his promise to end the war on his watch and instead ensuring he hands the conflict off to his successor."

"Imagine that. A broken unrealistic campaign promise. At least he listened to the experts this time. Maybe he learned from his huge mistake in Iraq."

There's appx 10,000 (troops)there (afghanistan) now. No increase, just staying longer than anticipated. I would pull them out as originally intended unless I got help from allies. Period.

"Why so it could go to shi* more."

There are many other answers to the first question you posed in this post. You had all the answers as to why we SHOULD NOT bring troops home then. But, cheetos is president now, so it's OK.

You're a joke.

Syria and afganistan are two different situations

Good lord

Like Obama's view on gay marriage? Or Hillary's?

I'm not talking about a president changing his mind, I'm talking about herdman continually declaring that withdrawing troops is wrong the 8 years before cheetos gets in office, then the trumpkin agrees with it simply because it's cheetos in the office.

He said "Things change."

I honestly don't know the right answer. ME is a strage place, it's a 1 step forward 5 steps back kind of place. I used to be for staying there, oppresso liber. But, it's hard to liberate the oppressed when the oppressed would sell a baby for their next meal.

The locals have no sides. They'll give you info (for $20), cross the street and sell you out for $2.

I know what herdman says now, and what he's said for 8 years prior to cheetos. Nothing has changed to cause him to change his mind other than cheetos is president rather than obama. I know this because I've been arguing this point with him for about 15 years.

I won't speak for Herdman. But it's hard to make the switch. To me, it's an all or nothing decision. You completely pull out, lets call it Operation RifleArm, or you engage for the rest of our lives. It's a never ending conflict.

Something tells me that Rifle would never pull out. If a slvt isn't smart enough to use an IUD, then that little Missy will just have to deal with the consequences.

Stanley McChrystal was fired by Obama after it came out in a Rolling Stone interview that the administration was full of putzes.
Obama softened the military so much as well. They spent more time going over power points about harrassment instead of learning to break and kill things.

That is one reason I hate to lose Mattis. He was a big proponent of getting back to practicing war righting and he loved and stood up for the war fighters

Easy now, you'll work yourself right back in to 'invade a country' mode.

Haven't seen the "no evidence" inference for a while. Recent information pretty much quashed that notion. Sure, there's no "smocking gun" released at this point....but the evidence showing collusion is clear and substantial....perhaps even overwhelming.

However, you've elected to ignore that evidence, and I'm sure you're not alone as ignorance is an essential requirement for today's republican. The biggest reason I left the fold 12 years ago.....and, no, I didn't become a Democrat. Simply decided the fairy tale being sold was something I couldn't accept.

Well, this proves he speaks his mind....and he apparently has no political agenda since he bashes both democratic and republican presidents. Most of us probably agreed with his Obama criticisms.....just like most of us share his view concerning Trump.

Patton was slamming FDR for not making a deal with the German armies in the field to attack the Soviets and keep the war going with the ultimate destruction of the USSR, who he considered worse than the Nazi's, also Pershing hated Wilson.

This isn’t about foreign policy this is a simple as him saying he is a habitual liar and immoral. So drawing the comparison to Patton and FDR is kind of pointless.

I LEFT 26 YEARS AGO AND I AM A DEMOCRAT - IF YOU ARE NOT A DEMOCRAT YOU ARE IRRELEVANT AND MIGHT AS WELL BE VOTING FOR A RUSSIACON.
THERE ARE ONLY TWO SIDES IN THE BATTLE FOR AMERICA.

Irrelevant? Really? Where did all the votes come from for the last election's "Blue Wave"?

Conversely, how many independents couldn't stomach Hillary after the Democrats ran a BS primary essentially handing her the nomination.

Ignoring independents or counting them "irrelevant" is a a pretty dangerous place politically.

if your not voting for a democrat - then your voting for trump/republicans.
