That source doesn't back up your claim.

Your claim is that the Georgetown Prep cost isn't bad compared with the going rate for private school in the DMV. However, your source only lists the most expensive private schools in the DMV. If there are 30 other private schools in the DMV that all have a tuition of $10,000, it would mean Georgetown Prep is one of the most expensive private schools in the region.

That's not bad.

Says the guy that home schools (not that there is nothing wrong with that). I think it is a damn rip off. The best private, Catholic high school in Louisville is around $14k a year. Of course there is no residential option. I would put their academics up against Georgetown Prep any day of the week...and their football team would beat the shit out of the prep school to boot. The best "Christian" school (evangelical, pretty much) around here is $9k. Also great academics, but I wouldn't send my kid to a school that denies a big chunk of science.

You know where my daughter goes to college...that prep school is $2k a year more in tuition. That is insane. The rich live very differently than us, I guess.

the point is he would be the second Georgetown prep supreme court justice both
republicans. I don't know and I haven't looked but I would bet if you look at the
justices dem & republican nominees on the republican side you will see a group
of privileged elitists who have never had to worry about money, health carenever had
to worry about paying the bills, finding a job, paying a mortgage or for college
none of the things that hard working middle class Americans struggle with
every day.

a 40k primary school get you into a 60k prep school gets into Harvard or yale gets
you into Harvard/yale law or mba gets you to wall street the Senate or supreme
court where you are surrounded by others of privilege telling hard working middle
class Americans who they have never been in contact with the rules they must live by,
making rules to favor their fellow elitists, because it's the only world they have ever know.

THE SYSTEM IS RIGGED.

I’m not really following what’s wrong with coming from wealth? I personally didn’t and don’t feel victimized by those who did.

Some people go on national tv and whine like a little bitch because they feel entitled and are spoiled when they face adversity and see something slipping away.

So I’m assuming “some people” is a reference towards rich people? If so don’t “some people” that don’t come from means also go on tv and also bitch and complain? A lot of them on here do.

I can't believe it, but I'm going to agree with dherd on this (to a degree). There is no more incestuous system than the federal judiciary. Regardless of party affiliation, every federal judge in every district is linked together through friendship with each other and/or whatever senator/congressman is in power in that district. Either way, the most qualified candidates are almost always overlooked in lieu of someone's buddy, cousin, or clerk.

so what is your point? I saw where Obamas girls went to Sidwell with a cost of $40,000 a year. Guess what I say who cares?
