It cracks me up that politicians act appalled at "enhanced interrogation" while acting oblivious to the fact that we run around killing people, including innocent civilians (children included) with "precision" drone strikes on a fairly regular basis.

Okay, scenario based question for you:
You have a POW who holds key information to the whereabouts of a group of terrorists who are plotting to attack a US military post in the next 24 hours. The only problem is, this little fvcker won't talk. No matter how badly you beg and plead, he spits in your face and tells you to go fvck your mother each time you ask him to reveal this information. Keep in mind, this info will save the lives of several thousand soldiers.
How do you plan to get him to talk? Are you going to leave this in his hands, just so you can say you took the high road and respected his feelings? Will you threaten to make him go to bed an hour early and without his evening snack? What method(s) do you intend to use to get him to give you this information?
Comparing waterboarding to how American POWs are treated is a hell of a stretch. I've been waterboarded, it sucks but it's no where near having your knee caps drilled out or beheading by a rusty, dull-ass machete. We don't go to war with Geneva Convention compliant countries, so I think we do pretty well compared to that enemy.
