Good win vs a decent opponent

Got this from the Herd website. Pretty good stuff with both the football defense and the Bball team being so high in individual national rankings.

The Herd leads all of NCAA Division I men's basketball in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.85 after Thursday's contest. It also sits in fourth in the nation in offensive rebounds per game (15.11) while ranking fifth in assists per game (19.9) and rebounds per game (42.89).

Handman has been a blessing. In past years we didn't even know what an offensive rebound was.

Taylor had 7+ TO’s just in the second half and the lead started to evaporate!
He’s so sloppy with his passes. He has good vision, just terrible execution. Like the kind of stuff that works great at the Rec or on the playground.. but the stuff that won’t fly in D1

UNCG led Arkansas all the way up to the last four minutes last Tuesday. That has not been the norm for their level of play, but hard to argue they have it in them to bring it at that level on the right night.

In a sense UNCG because of the travel.
Team waited until this morning to get back to Pittsburgh.
That means treatment, film study and a brief practice today.

More than likely they'll practice Monday and travel Monday. It's not an easy schedule time wise.

I'm just glad we don't have to play 3 halves. Huge leads have evaporated in the 2nd half of the last 2 games. What would happen if we played another half?
We won by an average of 10 in the two road games. That is the goal. We'd likely play a little differently if the game were suddenly 20 minutes longer.

elgin - on a 3 game swing like this - are they busing it?

Just wish Danny could develop a little more quality and playable depth. This 7 or 8 man rotation is a little tough when we have those stretches like this current one, 3 games in 6 days. Certainly, will be a factor if/when we make a run in post-season tourney play, like the SBC championship tourney. Danny noted that some of the problems in the 2nd half at RM were due to "fatigue"! Then, too, there may be a game or two, maybe more, where the zebras get whistle happy, and we end up in some serious foul trouble, foul out a player or two, which will necessitate DD going deeper into his bench.
