There's no denying that Marshall basketball's pool of guards are a talented bunch.
On any given night, teams have been wary of any of three guards going off for 20-plus point games with starters Jon Elmore, Stevie Browning and Austin Loop all being dangerous weapons.
Now, there is another emerging guard for the Herd - a fourth weapon in the backcourt. And if you ask those around the Marshall circles, he may possess the most upside and be the most dangerous of all.
That player is sophomore guard C.J. Burks, a 6-foot-3, 203-pound in-state product from Hedgesville High School who brings a different dimension of physicality and athleticism to the Marshall lineup
