Green’s gotta go, to the bench, prayer meeting, somewhere other than playing (QB). He’s terrible! I would take Jimmy Skinner and Brian Anderson. So long fellas, no bowl this year. See you in Spring ball 2020, when we have some grown men playing linebackers! Hopefully, Wells is as good as advertised!

Hope he doesn’t get pissed on social media again today.....

Ok, Cato’s sophomore year in (2012) we were bad. I’m just trying to mitigate our circumstances. He (Green) doesn’t look like a leader, his body language and demeanor sends that type of message. What’s gives? I’m not sure. And the defense doesn’t get a reprieve. We are just not as deep as last season. No Bee, Johnson, Chase, Frankie, Ty Tyler.

The offense wasn't bad in 2012. We put up crazy points. We just couldn't stop anyone. This year's offense would struggle in FCS or even D-II

Hamrick should have a good time defending Doc while trying to pry money out of people's pockets for the fundraising campaign to build a mega facility for a non revenue sport. Fix the football program then I'll think about spending money on a non signature sport that loses 100% of the money invested in it each year.

Your either an aspiring AD or retain some inside information. Just kidding by the way! My take is you can’t keep contracting schools like Pitt, Louisville, N.C. State, Boise and Navy to travel Huntington and the product struggles. If we are going to make an investment in the football program. Pay our coaches more, they bring in better players. That’s just the nature of the Blue Chip industry. That’s my systems theory.

"My grandfather once said that boy's got a whole lot of quit in him."

Treadmill that is a good point. But first let’s go get a young firebrand assistant from a major program who is ready to move up. We do not need retirees applying and while we are at it that should include the current AD whom many on here think he is irreplaceable because he managed to raise money while we still had donors willing to cough it up. Is it necessary to hire ADs who are graduates of Marshall? Yes I remember those ADs who were not but it seems that Mike is just putting his time in and no one - including Jerome, is satisfied with the status quo. IMO (just mine) the athletic department needs a complete house cleaning and overhaul from top to bottom in every position.

I meant they are satisfied and not interested in change.

If your job isn’t in jeopardy from someone higher up the food chain and what you “need” is being provided-why change? If average is acceptable then why strive for more? It’s not just at Marshall. Average is best is a major issue at many athletic departments around the country.

Being average at a lot of major colleges is acceptable, because when compared with their peers, they are well below average in the other things.

If places like Indiana, Oregon State, Boston College, Rutgers, Washington State, Mississippi State, etc. finish just "average" in their conference each season, then those staffs are doing a great job. That's because when compared to the rest of their peers in the conference, they are far below average in terms of opportunities to succeed (facilities, budget, fan base, location, tradition, recruiting advantages).

But that isn't a place Marshall is in with its peers. As has been repeated ad naseum on here, Marshall has more advantages to win in this conference than just about anyone, yet they continue to be just average. That's the problem.
