funny thing is when you look at the map in the link there is a town called Darwin to the Northeast.
Keep pushing your luck. I will nominate you for a Darwin Award. Just want to tell you that when you do that you are at the bottom of the food chain. And, so you are aware, there are other things out there that will eat you.Nurse sharks, though not completely harmless, have no interest in humans. If threatened or if they mistake you for something else, they may take a bite, but they tend to have smaller (yet still sharp) teeth. Humans swim around groups of nurse sharks routinely without issue.
I used to spend an hour everyday standing in the ocean to water in my neck followed by swimming in deeper water. One afternoon, a maintenance guy in my building stopped me to show me some cell phone pics he tried taking from the roof of my building. From the roof, he saw me out there and saw two nurse sharks within feet of me for quite a bit of time. The pics he took weren't very clear, but he said he saw them routinely out there all day, including other times I would be by myself in the water.
I am fine with sharks. It's those fvcking saltwater crocodiles mentioned in the article that scare the shit out of me. They have been seen in the Keys. I am worried that they will eventually start coming higher.

I said other things. You mentioned nurse sharks. There are other species of sharks. Hello. I said other thing. A swimming around in a school of sharks and knowing about it is being a dumb ass.Besides sharks, what do you think is going to eat me in the Atlantic Ocean hundreds of yards off of the Florida coast?
Where I lived is known as the shark attack capital of the world. In 2017, there were 88 shark attacks around the world. 9 of those were in Volusia County (where Daytona is).
In 2017, there were five deaths from shark attacks around the world. Think about that - out of all the beaches in the world where tens (if not millions) swim each year, only five people died from sharks.
It ain't happenin'.
This city was less than two miles down the beach from me where I ran and swam in almost seven days a week. Here is a line from National Geographic about it:
- Anyone who has swum in New Smyrna Beach, Florida (shark capital of the world) has likely been within 10 feet of a shark.

Usually until they decide to feed. Or you get a run of black tips. There goes your foot.Other things seemed to imply something other than sharks.
I don't swim around in a school of sharks, but people have frequently swam with many nurse sharks as they are usually disinterested in humans.

Likely not, but it sounded like you were pushing your luck.Lets try this again:
Millions upon millions of people in the ocean every year. 88 attacks. 5 deaths.
It ain't happenin'.

this shark tracker website is pretty cool to waste some time on. you can change the parameters and track where various sharks have been over the past whatever period of time. pretty fascinating how far they travel.I’m vacationing in cape cod in August and it may be the first time in my life I’m not planning on getting past my knees in the ocean. The Great White population is off the chain. Just for the hell of it I downloaded the shark activity app just to see how many sightings they’re have been this summer and in the past two days they’re have been 9
Expert on sharks? Lol. Blew pop out of my nose.
I heard that bullets can do the same thing as soda. You should try it and tell us if it works the same.

You know people say the same things about pitbulls until they bite your face offI swim with sharks regularly, both recreationally and when I'm working at the Georgia Aquarium. They are nothing to worry about. RESPECT, yes. Worry and be afraid of, no.

Same could be said for hundreds of different animals in our world, but that doesn’t mean I’m not cautious and nervous when I step into their environment
