how appropriate the dems use the one year anniversary of getting ass raped as a means to display their butt hurt over the past year.

By nearly every metric, 2017 has been a fantastic year for America. There is no disputing that whatsoever.

Stand strong Mr Potus and Republicans. The bloodsucking Democrats will always want more.
true herdman. My son asked me why I never vote to increase my local property tax so our local school can have more money. I always say no matter how much you give them they will always be back next year wanting more!

What part that makes it fantastic has been from something cheetos has done?
It wouldnt matter your hate blinds you. 3 ft could remedy that. Drop to your knees and ask God to take hate out of your heart. Ask him for foregivness for name calling on here multiple times daily. Last pray that GOD would come into his heart. The bible says you are no good greed so quit acting like your are good. We are all in the same boat. Im not ashamed to pray for foregivness. I ask for it in here too.

Just answer the question pharisee.

"What part that makes it fantastic has been from something cheetos has done?"

Nothing is fantastic. I never said that. Talk about a Pharisee gee whiz thats you. I would rather talk about good things. You like the darkness. Im a lover and follower of Jesus. Not a follower of any man or party. People relate you to one subject. Arguing politics. Spread the good news not things that wont mean a thing when you are being judged.

Evidently you haven't noticed that almost every single person on here argues politics. If I argue politics, then someone must be arguing with me. The fact that about 80% on this board are cons would mean about 80% of those arguing with me are cons, including you. How do you, personally, spread the good news? Is it by telling me I'm a hater of people and lover of darkness. Bravo, pharisee.

frankly, that mentality makes me sick when it comes to education. assuming you're from ohio, I don't know how education is funded, but in the state of WV schools are funded at bare minimum by the state through a funding formula where they rob from the property tax rich counties and give to the property tax poor counties. I have no issue with this robin hood effect as it guarantees that all children in the state of WV receive the same education, no matter how good or bad said education is perceived.

what I do have a problem with is people like you who won't vote to give their children a better education than the bare minimum via passing what's referred to as an excess levy in the state of WV. the majority of counties in the state do have some form of excess levy which provides resources to allow for better programs, then there's probably a dozen counties, give or take, where the residents would rather stay known as one of the worst educated states in the nation rather than vote to provide their children a better education.

seriously, fvck people like you.

It’s the same in Ohio. I lived in the Olentangy school district when I lived in Ohio. Arguably the best district in the state. In addition it had the lowest cost per child to operate and was one of the most affluent districts in the state. The district was last in state funding out of 700 plus schoool although the residents paid some of the highest taxes in the state. More money was provided from the state to charter schools, private non denominational and religious schools than our public schools. It was the worst case Robin Hood environment I had ever seen. Truly disgusting.

wow fan, I live in Ohio so i am glad you have all of the details in my case. They whine and say they will not have enough money to pay for a bus ride to take the kids to the basketball game. They always do. The kids will lose their milk they haven't. They will not have any money to pay the teachers. The teachers are still getting paid. They went out and built a small version of an IPF for a school that has about 125 kids per class. Yes that's right k-12 around 1600 kids in the whole school system. In our case they built a shell of a building and did not have enough money to finish it, So now they want me to pay for a building we didn't need and couldn't afford. Sorry my kids had a solid education at the school in question and our scores are decent statewide. I will not feel sorry I don't want to pay for misspending. I live in a 3 county area that is by far the most impoverished part of the state. Vinton, Athens, Meigs. All 3 now have new schools and nice facilities for the students. This was not the case 20 years ago in southern ohio. Most of our educators went to Ohio U. They(Ohio U) blow more money year after year than you can count. Yet they are always raising the tuition on the kids and they are always building more buildings they can do without. So IMO there is a mindset that they need more of everything. Sometimes they need to learn to live on what they have. I have to and so do the people who live near me who have voted against this 4 times in 2 years. Guess what? They are going to have another special vote in 3 months. Like I said no matter how much you give them they will be back for more.

Just like the wealthy and corporations have been doing since time immemorial. Yet you support their tax cuts which makes the government less able to spend money on those money hungry schools. Maybe you haven't noticed, but federal money supports public schools, and when the federal government won't or can't, it falls to states, counties, and localities. Don't worry, those tax cuts will take care of your schools problems.

EG I was referring to a specific case and yet at the same time the big picture. My local HS wants more money to pay for something we dont need that nobody ordered. I already pay plenty in property tax. I am not against legitimate needs for even schools. I have seen so much waste in that sector I think it is time they are held accountable for wasting money. I call that good stewardship

Like I said, the federal income taxes have been reduced for the wealthy and the corporations, so you can look forward to the wealthy and corporations trickling that money down to your schools.

Federal dollars are restricted on how they are spent, and, those funds have been cut year after year. The majority of federal funds are restricted to low income, special education, and child nutrition. While it's better to have federal funds than not, they do nothing to help expand programs.

I don't know if I understand what you're saying. Federal funding has increased for education generally speaking with some ups and downs. And I don't know how you're getting that federal funds don't help expand programs.

While we homeschool every school district I've ever lived in my entire life does not have a problem with money. The problem is how that money is allocated throughout a system. There is just so much fraud waste and abuse in your average school system that it doesn't matter how much you give and take with taxes and bonds if the bored you are giving it to remains the same incompetent boobs giving them more money is not going to solve the basic problem of competency in budgeting.

I have yet to vote for a school bond. I say that as the wife, son, and a product of the public education system. Money is not their problem.

I agree, school systems in Ohio do not appear to have any external accountability source to monitor appropriateness of their spending.

This is why so many in central OH will try to find a home which is zoned for a desirable school system, but resides in Columbus city for tax purposes. That shit pisses me off that I'm paying $8K/yr in property taxes while freeloaders are sending their kids to the same school my kid attends and paying $2500/yr.

Personally, I still opted to be deep within the suburb's zoning for schools, to eliminate the possibility of them ever rezoning and my kid having to attend one of the godawful Columbus City Schools.

Why does that matter?? The taxes are in different silos. Not sure paying for Columbus services (police garbage and other services like the zoo and mental health) matters to school borders. You are still paying the same school tax as your neighbor that might be in both the services and the school district. They do the same thing in Florida. People that buy in the Columbus service district really aren’t getting a deal they are just getting different services usually worse than being in the other city.

$4000 in school taxes are $4000 in school taxes. It doesn’t matter what the other silo is......

It matters, dipshit, because I pay out the ass in property taxes and those who live in the outskirts paying far less get the benefit from sending their children to the same school.

Where I am, we have a new tax Levy presented every other year.

You would know this stuff if you liked the opposite sex well enough to procreate.

@ohio herd didn't you say you're with Ohio Health? I have a friend who is starting at Riverside in about a week. She's going to be doing some sort of Joint Commission compliance position. Didn't know which facility you worked for? Hopefully not Grant, LOL

Hey dipshit I have 4 kids and beautiful successful wife of 20 years. And I know a little something about taxes, the taxes on my home on the coast are $76k a year. But all the beaches have the same school district and pay the same mil. However the mil for our municipalities differs and the level of services differ.

Now tell me again how it matters. You pay the exact same mil for school taxes as your “Columbus neighbors” that attend your suburban school district. Are you disputing that??? If you are you’re stupid. This would be the greatest scam in history if you were correct.

When I lived in Powell I made my living in selling and developing residential real estate I have seen more tax statements from Delaware and franklin county than you can even imagine. Visit the county auditor site for yourself and a neighbor that lives in a “columbus” municiple area but goes to school with your kids. Then look at the school tax breakdown it is identical.

Come on idiot.

If you are your plan stupid.

Oh God, the irony.

So you're a Realtor? That's your claim to fame in regards to supposedly knowing as much as you do about everything being discussed on here? Each school system requires a different budget. Taxes, when voting on a school levy, vary by city. This is when they claim there isn't enough money in their current budget for something, they state how much the residents will pay extra on their taxes and then said residents of that city will pay extra (if/when the levy passes). This proves the point that there will be higher taxes paid for people living in my area and less taxes being paid by those living in the outskirts. Otherwise, surrounding areas would also be voting on the levy, if they all paid the same share for the same amounts. If I'm paying 10% of 100, the amount is different than paying 10% of 200.

Please, stick with peddling empty warehouses.

I’ll have to go back and find the article but I read where the growth in administrator positions is vastly outpacing student and teacher growth. Basically money is being wasted on the assistant superintendent for left handed studies instead of teachers. Money isn’t the issue. The average spending per student is about $10000. If average classroom has 25 kids that’s $250,000 per classroom. If you have 4 classrooms per grade level in an elementary school that’s $6mil per school per year.

Here is the study

Total idiot. I’m glad you can figure out 10% of 100 is different than 10% of 200. Otherwise mils are exactly the same for the school for both scenarios. Great job trumptard you have proven yourself a fool.

I can totally buy that. Nowadays you have superintendents then director of academics, director of student affairs, etc.... too top heavy as the rest of government and many companies are.
