Hard

I have heard through some circles that Pinehurst may not want the US Open to come back. What they did to that course last year was absurd. I heard today the reason Chambers Bay has it this year is because Shinnecock and Winged Foot told the USGA no thanks. I remember hearing the heads groundskeeper for Pinehurst on local radio saying that he would be glad when it was over in reference to having the US Open there.

Chambers Bay is not a US Open golf course. Not saying I wouldn't like to play it, but it is not a US Open venue. And, the USGA takes everything and makes it over the top. There is no reason to dry a golf course out like that.

the issue is the USGA is taking more money than Pinehurst, WF, Shinnecock, etc think they should be, or they were trying to, I guess they got it all worked out since WF and Shinnecock are on the US Open schedule for 2018 and 2020.

if you hate the us open at CB, you're going to hate it year after next at erin hills http://www.erinhills.com/

Has Tiger withdrawn yet? Wasn't sure if he teed off this morning, or afternoon.

I'm predicting an injury at some point, perhaps as early as today.

Looks like they didn't protect par today. Mike Davis will be out there with a hair dryer tonight blowing on the greens.
