Not sure about the rumor, but he was dismissed by Smart, because that was his 2nd time being arrested within 10 weeks, with the first arrest being a couple of felonies.
Does he have to sit out a year? guessing he probably would.Clay did commit last weekend.
And while the legal troubles you listed for Clay are true, the felony involved him shooting a BB gun in his dorm. Sounds a little ridiculous to me.

I didn't realize it was last year but I believe that if you are dismissed from a program, you can play right away.

He also was charged for making over $1000 in damages besides the weapon charge. Then, after that, he decided to steal from another student.

What is the over / under he can not make it for 6 to 8 weeks in Huntington before being arrested again. Another in a long list of questionable recruits...guess Holliday is in scramble mode.
Speaking of Holliday wonder how much slack he has been given to stay employed for the total football season.,,and before it starts I know "toughest schedule we have faced in years"...lol...ol CUSA is a killer

He will be eligible to play this fall, and has three seasons of eligibility.
Maybe this guy can become Allens new best buddy and drive him around.
6-5 one or the other is in dutch with law enforcement before the end of summer thus putting a damper on our work release program that we operate better than any other school in the nation.
At some point you would think well no that would take a strong AD which we do not have , but at some point you would think Marshall would try to stop being the poster child for every athlete that has a shady background or has been dismissed for academic or legal reasons from other programs...kinda makes one wonder about the thought process of the our esteemed school president as well.
Not the recruiting reputation nor image of the programs that I for one enjoy seeing attached to our alma mater.
The incidents happened a year ago and he didn't get in any trouble while at JUCO. So what's your point? Keep in mind he was an 18 year old Freshmen when he did those things. What is the over / under he can not make it for 6 to 8 weeks in Huntington before being arrested again. Hell, wasn't it Duke that had a wonderful group of human-beings playing lacrosse for the school?
Marshall is barely inside the top 1/4 of schools, in regards to arrests.
No one enjoys seeing our players' names in the police blotter,
.
Are you referring to the Duke lacrosse team that was accused of the sexual assault of an exotic dancer who later recanted her story adter the players accused of the misdeeds were proved to not being there at the time of the "assault" ? The same exotic dancer who was later imprisoned for killing her boyfriend? You must have hated our image in the 90s and early 2000s. As for our program's issue, it pales in comparison to what has been going on at places like Baylor, Tennessee, Washington St., and of course ALABAMA. These type of situations happen at just about every school. Hell, wasn't it Duke that had a wonderful group of human-beings playing lacrosse for the school?

The same case where the prosecuting attorney was disbarred for excluding evidence in the trial vs the Duke lacrosse team?
Or is it another case, other than this one, that most of America knows about?
I simply asked a question. I only follow MU and only see headlines of these other schools on TV so I didn't follow the case or watch any documentaries that I'm sure lined their already rich pockets. Good for the rich boy Pukies to get acquitted. My point is the student athletes at the best of schools commit crimes so the hate being spewed about MU giving an 18 year old kid a 2nd chance shouldn't be attacked as it is. There is a pretty good list of players that we gave a 2nd chance that a rewarded us for giving it.Are you referring to the Duke lacrosse team that was accused of the sexual assault of an exotic dancer who later recanted her story adter the players accused of the misdeeds were proved to not being there at the time of the "assault" ? Further, I can't imagine there are many (if any) teams in the country who have signed football players who have previous indiscretions. It is a running joke after a player is dismissed; "oh, hope he likes Huntington"
They weren't acquitted. All charges were dropped after the prosecuting attorney was found to have excluded evidence that would have exonerated the lacrosse players accused of the crimes.I simply asked a question. Yes. You're right. It was 2006.I thought it was more like 10 years ago vs 25 years ago
#1 - I'm not a politically correct person and believe that the socialism running rampant in this country at home, in the colleges, and in the media needs to be stamped out as it is ruining our country and making us soft as a nation. #2 My term of acquitted is just semantics as I didn't follow the case and old read what was on the news. I could care less except that your exaggerating the numbers of years as someone else said. They weren't acquitted. I'm no Duke fan, but I equally detest the rush to judgement fostered by the politically correct crowd who were just sure that the "rich boy Pukies" to use your terminology were guilty. Now, nearly 25 years later, you still think the lacrosse team was guilty of some crime even though you don't follow national news or sports teams other than Marshall.

Cause nothing says freedom and Democracy like a jackboot stomping out a dissenting opinion.socialism running rampant in this country at home, in the colleges, and in the media needs to be stamped out
if you think socialism is running rampant here, i'd suggest you actually look up what socialism means...
Here you go, please check out the synonyms. Keep this in mind as well, the left wing liberal protests going on at several college campuses in recent months, see Cal-Berkeley, is a direct attack on "Freedom of Speech" and that is what I was eluding to with my comments. While I don't agree with the speakers views that they were protesting and preventing from speaking, their actions to prevent the speakers from voicing their opinions is a violation of the Bill of Rights. This isn't communist China where you do not have the right to voice your opinion, but it seems the left wing liberals would like to make where only one voice or opinion can be heard. In terms of my political views, I am a moderate Republican so I'm not exactly a right wing crazy either.
