I posted a thread on Herd Nation several days ago about going back to Huntington for a Marshall game. After the game, I stopped at a Menard’s on the way home. What a wonderful store.

It is big and bright and has everything in the line of building supplies. I even bought a small wood window for a new structure I am building. Why have I never heard of this place before? I don’t believe I can ever go back to our dinky, dreary Lowe’s again. I may have to move to Barboursville where I can wander the aisles of Menard’s for the rest of my days.

Menard's is a an odd store. You can get anything from roof shingles to Heinz ketchup.

Good selection of hardwoods, don’t like their tool selection. It is the best of the chains.

For some it's being able to use a saw and sand paper while running a business in the ground

Must be a pretty good business, since it has resisted being run in the ground for 35 years.
