And I don't need any other enemies on flights. On my current flight, I asked if I could change my seat to an inferior class. Why? It's a 9.5 hour flight. My better seat didn't have the whole row empty. An inferior class had an entire row of three seats empty. So while boarding the right side of the plane had three people sitting next to each other. The flight attendant than told one of them they could sit in my row since her phone showed only me sitting in it. So I spoke up - I told her that I had requested a class down so I could have three seats, as the gate employee confirmed I would have the whole row to myself (now I can extend out and sleep). So I look like the asshole for not sharing my row and making three people sit next to each other in the row to my right.
Then, about 20 minutes ago, I slowly (and only partially) reclined my seat. The person behind me and to the left (so not even impacted by my recline, since I am siitting in the middle of three seats in my row) yelled out "dammit!" I acted like I did't hear her. She then said "that's so rude." Again, I acted like I didn't hear her and then reclined my seat the rest of the way to piss her off more. Please note: we are in the comfort + or whatever the level in between main seating and first-class is, so we already have bigger and better seats, yet she is still whining. Wait until I recline all three seats when I extend across them and sleep.

Interesting choice to say the least. He does have a BA from Princeton and a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard so you know he is smart. He is a decorated military officer who has served in combat. He worked for Bear Stearns.
He is an out of the box appointment like Robert McNamara who was JFK's Sectary of Defense. McNamara did have experience running a large bureaucracy as president of Ford Motor Company.

I don't doubt we have the best military in the world but, it is broken. Recruiting and retention is down. We are not prepared for a global conflict with a country like China. Standards are down. We are low on certain weapons systems including artillery. Wokeness and Feel Good have permeated from the top down. The Afghanistan withdraw was a complete clustered mess. I will give them some credit that was a Mush lead and State Dept lead debacle but, there were leaders in the military that screwed up as well with no accountability.
If we had to fight China right now let alone a two front major war which was always our prior doctrine we would be in trouble. Serious trouble.
