And Marshall still isn't getting any respect. Had a few USM fans last night tell me they would much rather play Marshall than FIU. I know FIU swept them the last weekend, but I think that was a fluke. Either way, they got their wish.
If the Herd garners national attention by making the Super Regionals, I can only imagine how the national reporters will let it be known that the Herd does not even have an on campus facility for thier baseball program. It could help us! Put more pressure on the administration.
unless it comes with an eight figure check it won't put that much pressure on the administration.
i think the fallacy in the minds of many is that the university, the athletic department don't want a baseball stadium, or they're holding out. it's not that, it's just that 1) there is no land available at the moment 2) even if there were we'd (hamrick, president gilbert, etc) would have to magically walk into several million dollars that we don't have at the moment.
