Emileigh Cooper, 2nd team all-CUSA last year as a senior, died as the result of a car crash.

She was from Jackson, Ohio. An integral part of this recent stretch of successful results on the field.

Very, very sad. Emileigh was one of the most infectiously vibrant people I've ever come across. Tenacious on the field but someone who was well liked and truly respected off of it.

So very sad. She was just named the new head softball coach at Jackson High School within the last month.

This breaks my heart. Having daughters and having coached softball for years makes this hit home for me.
