How would you feel if the government started using your tax dollars to build mosques for Muslims?

Literally, tax money would be used for the sole purpose of building mosques.

Thoughts?

Actually, I think this has been going on for some time. Part of our nation building and pumping money into cultures overseas.

Nothing surprises me anymore. A lot of it is probably BS in the name of expressing good will of the USA.

It's been going on since at least 2010. A cbs report last year stated that Obama has spent $770 million rebuilding mosques in the Middle East. Also reported that we pay for the internet service to those buildings. Most troubling is that many Muslim watch groups report that these are largely not moderate Muslim establishments, but those run my the more extreme groups. A lot of them in Egypt.

I'm talking about right here on our soil. It isn't being done to preserve historic buildings. Tax dollars being spent to build brand new mosques . . . you in or not?

I bet this is the point rifle is making. Somewhere in the U.S. Tax dollars are being spent to build a church. If herd man said no way absolutely not the rifle would call him a hypocrite herdman would get defensive about how Muslims want to kill everyone and we would just go around and around

One of our fearless republican leaders has formed a bill urging congress to approve for federal dollars to be used to rebuild places of worship that are destroyed from disasters. It has nothing to do with preserving historic structures.

We should not be paying for that kind of thing.

I think in most instances, I would agree with this position. The only caveats might be when the gov't is obligated to replace the religious structure because of gov't inflicted property damage or by relocation through eminent domain, and for temporary structures used in the field for the military.
