Very interesting to see how these things are structured.

Cliffs:
350,000 Annual Salary
205,500 for Media Appearances
200,000 for Fund Raising Appearances
2 Vehicles with Liability Insurance or a car stipend
6,600 for Guyan Golf and Country Club Membership Fees
2,000 per year for Cell phone
25,000 Relocation Allowance

Here are the incentive bonuses
30,000 for 7-5 or better
50,000 for Annual Ticket Sales - Each 400k over 1.6 million
50,000 if Attendance is 50% over the total 2019 season attendance
50,000 for winning the CUSA Championship Game
50,000 for making a bowl
75,000 for making the Access Bowl
1,000,000 for making the National Championship Game

It appears the Buyout is 755,500 each remaining year on his contract.

Could we agree that the bonus for "50% over the 2019 attendance" incentive is a bridge too far? If we averaged 21k, that would mean increasing the total attendance to about 31,500.....we usually tail off in November.....

That's offset by the $50,000 for going to a bowl game. Hey, put me in as coach. I'm retired so I don't need a whole lot of income. But if I can't show up every day and coach our team to a 6-6 record which makes us bowl eligible, then I don't deserve any compensation. How do these contract terms compare to Doc's?

Doc made $758,320 this season, making him the 92nd highest paid coach in FBS.

So in reality... Assuming Huff shows up for scheduled fundraising appearances and fulfills his media obligations he is starting out at $757,500, a membership to Guyan, two university vehicles and $25,000 to relocate to Huntington.

In the current CUSA there is absolutely no reason not to make a bowl game... So there's another $50k and one additional win to get to 7-5 nets another $30k.

Barring catastrophe, he should be making $807,500 each year with most years getting to $837,500.
