Hey, why are hospitals full all over the western world?

It's really strange. Everywhere the safe and effective covid vaccine was deployed is seeing elevated covid rates, elevated all-cause mortality and hospitals are overwhelmed. But the countries that skipped the science juice have returned to normal and are enjoying herd immunity.

Quite the dichotomy!

I think it's immunity debt.

A ton of 4 year olds that should have already had RSV now are getting it for the first time, on top of the usual toddlers/newborns that get it. That and an early flu wave are killing the hospitals.

Staffing is already a disaster as with inflation nurses have figured out they can work other jobs for the same money and not have to work as hard. Try working a 12 hour shift on the floor or in the ER in a mask all day... it's awful. Many (though not all) especially rural or poorer insured population hospitals don't have the money to raise staff wages because their medicare reimbursement isn't keeping up with inflation and they already ran on tight margins. Firing a few of the redundant, largely not needed administrators would help some, but not a ton at the end of the balance sheet.

Agree that immunity debt is a contributor. But if vaccine-induced immune system malfunction is contributing we may be on the precipice of a civilizational threat.

Covid numbers are starting to climb, and the US has had a mild fall until now which has allowed people to be outside in most of the country. Geert paints a grim picture, and he has been the only person on earth to accurately forecast the vaccine rollout with precision:

In my area it's the peds hospital hit the hardest. And kids are like less than 10% vax'd in my area.

I have not seen any compelling data yet that either covid infection (I have seen this claimed) or vaccine will cause major generalized immune issues. I do think there is theoretical evidence that repeated vaccine with an ancestral strain could cause your immunity to be "trained" to fight off a new covid in an inefficient manner. Still haven't seen obvious clinical data that that is the case (and the fact that we have NO good randomized data for boosters is a crime).

I personally will not be taking any more covid shots though. So take that for what it's worth.
