So in 2000 she said that she didn't like email because it creates a trail in investigations. That's great. So to avoid that problem she runs her own server to give her the ability to scorch the trail if needed.

Petraeus screwed up and admitted it. He screwed up big time. Hell, the FBI found documents hidden between insulation and floor boards in his house. But, in the end he came clean and pleaded guilty.
Clinton denied all wrong doing, changed her story multiple times, "forgotten" due to a concussion... This is after three decades of controversy, being fired from the Watergate hearings and being married to a man who was disbarred after purgering himself.
