i am more in the camp of a blow up doll
robot. much easier switch the real for the
robot that way, plus it explains the stumble
the blow up hit a nail on the street and a sudden
loss of air caused the sudden drop. once inside
the suv they just put the blow up robot in a box
and out stepped the real looking all chipper.
makes perfect sense.
