Looking into the movie more, the director is describing it as sci-fi and a "companion piece to Men". Men is a movie he made that from the description sounds weird as hell where some lady has a bunch of people who all look the same following her.
So yeah, I would expect some crazy stuff going on in this one and not a tight political thriller.
