Get on TV and proclaim that he's with Barack Obama's weakness on defense, but that he is much better for our economy and issues that face us here in America. Talk about how insignificant and a big waste it is to spend all this money on nations of sand that we don't care about.

Most Americans don't care about it. Rand Paul won't lose it on defense. He'll lose it on not being for free handouts and loving the whales.

I expect to see him cower and try to act like something he's not. Sure loss. Sure drubbing. But if he owns the fact that he doesn't care about the sand and that he can be good for the economy, that's his only shot. I'd vote for him over Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio, but probably nobody else in the GOP field.

"Realism" like bombing Libya, sending the inept John Kerry to get laughed at and mocked by the Iranians, laud the "victories" in Yemen mere months before it descends into chaos, etc...

Goose is cooked. These politicians are just so weak in the way they present themselves. You've got Bill O'Reilly on there every night yelling at the TV. I watch it. 8 minutes of captivation before he gets those boring guests on there.

But then you have these politicians. Meek and mild. When they do act like they're passionate, it comes off as weird and fake. They waffle on everything. Just selling used cars. It's like they're not even in it to win it.

The Iran deal is certainly rooted in realism. Iran's interest in fighting radical Sunnism has been deemed more positive than the negative of certain radical Shia actions. The wisdom of that is debatable, of course.

Libya... That was just long-due payback. I can't argue against that, even though it created the a vacuum in the wrong place. Gaddafi sealed his own fate in December of 1988.

I have to admit it and there's a good chance that on this one, I actually line up with most of Americans when I say this: My eyes just glaze over with disinterest any time they talk about this stuff.

Iran...Libya...Sunni...Shia...Kurds...Turkey.......sand....ZZZZZZZZZ....when's the game coming on?....Let's check out the bank account again...ZZZZZZZZZZ

Then they start talking about some actor getting drunk and we're all wide awake now.

Nobody sees this stuff as a threat to us. We all think it's the JV. Even the 9/11, that was in New York. Most of us don't live in New York. Even if I was in a place where this could happen, worrying about it seems like a waste. Unless there's something I can actually do, then there's no use in wasting time thinking about it.
