The Huntington City Council is now decided. A former Marshall athlete lost in his attempt to get elected. But don't worry about him: He played baseball at Marshall, kept getting his job taken from him, and lived in Huntington his entire life, so he is used to losing.

What is interesting is that Huntington's Nick Goff - friend of @big_country90 , @Rock98Dog , @ThunderCat98 , and @19MU88 - hosted a fundraiser at his house for that former Marshall athlete/aspiring politician. How much of an impact on the vote do you think took place due to Nick Goff of Huntington having been caught and exposed for being the anonymous person behind an X (formerly Twitter) account that made dozens of racist, anti-semitic, sexist, and homophobic comments and action plans?

Based on reading limited Twitter messages (without an account, I can't read all of the replies), it appears that a lot more than five are aware of Nick Goff's racism, anti-semitism, sexism, homophobia, and ties to the candidate.

But you may have a point that few would care, because based on the high number of deplorables in that area, those are traits they most likely share. That has been reinforced by the lack of accountability his friends on this board have put on him as well as Banker trying to defend the racist comments.
