Wouldn't that be the smart thing to do so, we don't have one of these messes like Rowan County, KY?

Just stop issuing them all together.

It appears Alabama has it right and this is why the woman in KY is in a mess with the Nazis.

Found this.

"The biggest difference between Kentucky and Alabama, several sources said, is that Alabama law states a probate judge "may" issue a marriage license, unlike Kentucky which requires the issuance of the licenses."

So, Alabama is a may issue state and KY is a shall issue state.

Somebody is going to actually have to sue each judge in Alabama, on a case by case basis, and then try to get a ruling to make them do it.

If I were a state legislature I would certainly push my state to have a way out of this three ring circus.

You finally came to the realization that the Government should get out of the marriage business?

They should now. Since they have mucked it all up 200 years later. Since the Supreme Court decide to step out of its legal boundaries because of a spineless Congress, yes they should get of marriage.

Shouldn't they get out because it is not a government issue? I thought you supported a smaller government.

Marriage was never really an issue until a few years ago. It was pretty clear cut and dry. Not now.

So you support gay marriage? I thought you were against it last week.

In between your rants, you need to listen once in a while.
Biblically, homosexuality is a sin. One of many.
Fortunately, we are not a theocracy. The Constitution of the United States has been interpreted to give blacks, women, and gays equal rights under the law. We all are going to disagree with it some time or another, but man o man, it is one fine piece of work.

I know you like to play games and avoid topics. Congrats, you just earned yourself a Herdman point.

Me avoid topics. Hell, I probably start most of the discussions on this forum., I probably lead the league in multiple page threads.

Marriage was never really a problem in this country. This whole gay thing is a recent situation as in a few years.

Most of you all probably don't really care about the gays getting married. You just want to be hip on the movement and be seen as progressive. Most of you all probably laugh at them in closed doors.

This is not the first time the government has stepped into the marriage business are ruffled feathers. Do you really want the government to interpret the definition of marriage? Obviously your answer is yes, well this is what you get.

Marriage throughout time in every religion ,culture, and nearly government up until a few years ago has always been defined and accepted as man and woman. This phenomenon you see now is only a decade or so old.

Has every religion, culture and nearly ever government accepted every marriage between a man and a woman regardless of race and religion or have governments redefined what a marriage is over time?

That's, like, not even close to being true.
