I did too. When coordinated with the Pa and band its great. Not sure where it went.

Herd on the radio after the game it was ditched so they could run ads on the video board instead of cordinating the clap.

As a young fan, I'm so glad it's gone. It has always struck me as very cheesy and outdated. I love our program's tradition, but that's one that we should have ditched a very long time ago.

I can also vouch for my fellow college students as well, we hate it.

(No offense to anyone who likes the Thunder Clap.)

Clap Smack Smack Clap Smack Smac Clap Smack Smack as the people beside you do the Thunderclap

Hey, our section did it when we took the lead in the fourth out of respect.

Glad it's gone though.

I noticed and was glad it was gone. Hope it stays gone!!!!!!

Does this mean I won't have to worry about catching the thunderclap anymore?

Right Fish. Someone needs to inform our student body that "thanks to the miracles of modern medicine" they have safe and effective treatment for that malady in 2015!!

The 'eer fans do the 'spirit fingers' thingy. So, of course, I don't like us doing it.
But, I didn't even realize the 'thunderclap' was missing.

It's not spirit fingers, we (the students) put up three's for third down. I didn't really notice it until I actually started to sit in the student section (last year, my freshman year). It's alright. Better than the damn Thunder Clap.

It was tired and outdated when it started. I'm thankful that maybe it's finally gone!!

I'm just going to miss doing the Thunderclap to troll my friends who hate it. I always made sure to do one more than the total, then look at them and say "to grow on har har har" like I was telling the joke to myself for the first time. Great Truth of the Universe: if you're going to troll your friends, right after a Marshall score is the best time to do it.

But yeah its totally stupid and should have gone away ten years ago.

Thunderclap lost its mojo 20 years ago, spirit fingers, you have to be kidding.

I remember when it was actually jumping jacks. Then our fans got lazy.

The old "West Side Band" used to do it after scores. This was a group of older folks back in 1991 who sat in section 120. They had instruments and everything. Including a random kazoo. They did their own cheers. They did jumping jacks after TDs.

I'd guess most of those folks are no longer with us. They were something else, though. Perhaps someone a little older than me who has sat in that vicinity back then will remember better than I.
